Course Description

Our weekend English courses will build your skills and confidence.

The aim of this course is to teach you to research and deliver a presentation on the causes of stress, its effects on you in workplaces and strategies for resolving stressful situations. The tutor will use industry experience to give you insights and will empower you to become a confident presenter of your ideas. On the course, you will research some of the following:

Understanding stress triggers, such as:

  • Cortisol, Serotonin and Adrenaline

  • Hours, diet and new people

  • Work, Meetings and Schedules

  • Overwork, bullying and lack of support

Stress relief strategies, such as:

  • Treatments, coaching and mindfulness

  • The courage to say 'no'

  • Asking for help

  • Proper breaks

Course runs from 28 Jul 2017 to 30 Jul 2017

Qualification

  • No formal qualification.

  • You will achieve personal goals.

  • You will receive advice about courses and careers.

  • You will receive a course certificate.

Entry Requirements

  • No formal entry requirements.

  • Not suited to learners who have a Level 2, GCSE or above in English.

Method of Assessment

  • Your achievements will be assessed by individual learning plan (ILP).

To Apply for a Course

Course Application and Support Forms:

To apply for this course you will need to complete the Application form for each course you wish to attend, there is space for up to 3 courses per form.

The Information Form only needs to be completed once each academic year, if you have not completed one for this year, you will need to complete this also.

You can either print the forms once completed, sign and return by post or email the forms direct to the college at enquiry@hillcroft.ac.uk.

(You will be required to sign the forms when you attend the college)
