Exciting new courses starting September

Access and Massage

We are pleased to announce a range of exciting courses starting this autumn. Our residential women only Access to Higher Education, Pre-access and Level 3 courses are suitable for anyone looking to change career or considering returning to education, with a view to going on to further study.

Access to Higher Education Diplomas – Level 3 (*Advanced Learning Loan required)

Access to Humanities and Social Sciences This course will provide you with a good grounding in a range of academic subjects and enable you to have flexibility in your university choices and will provide a thorough foundation in a range of subjects including English literature; psychology; history; sociology.

Access to Health and Human Sciences If you are drawn to a career in a health or science related field, such as nursing, occupational therapy, radiography or biology, this course will prepare you for your chosen university degree.

Diploma in Massage Therapy – Level 3 (*Advanced Learning Loan Required) Gain skills and knowledge to succeed in the ever-growing spa industry. You will learn Body Massage, Hot Stone Therapy massage, Indian Head Massage and Pre-blended Aromatherapy Massage as well as Health & Safety, Client Care and Personal Health & Wellbeing.

Pre-Access including GCSE English and Functional Skills maths The Pre-Access course is specifically designed for students who do not yet have a full level 2 qualification or GCSE English grade A*-C. Learners are required to demonstrate working at English Level 1 or above, through a GCSE English certificate. For most students these courses will be FREE for those on means tested benefits.

How much will it cost? If you’re aged 19 or over, live in England and are thinking about taking an Access to Higher Education or Level 3 course, you might qualify for an *Advanced Learner Loan. This type of loan was previously called the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan and is targeted at helping adult learners manage the cost of further education. It’s easy to apply and you won’t have to pay anything back until you’re earning over £21,000 a year, so why delay - start your journey to a brighter future today.

If eligible, you may also receive special bursaries to fund your residential accommodation childcare provision and travel costs.
